Sunday Snippets 11/13/2010

Hello and welcome to another of my Sunday Snippets-Catholic Carnival which is hosted by This, That and The Other Thing blogspot. Here are my post for the week and thanks for stopping by!

My Daughter's praying the Rosary!

My seven year old has taken it upon herself to learn the Rosary. This is a bit of a shock for me and also thrilling. I really never imagined that she would actually do this on her own. This is her third year in Atrium and at first, she liked it for the social, "oh I get to play with more kids, yay!" aspect of it. Then when playtime was limited she would complain about going. Everytime, I'd ask her what she's learning, she'd say
" I don't know."

Confirming the Sacrament and other Silly Hollywood Blunders

My husband and I have this inside joke and it's one only Catholics who have a clue about their religion can get.

He said to me this morning on the phone from work that he needed to "confirm the sacrament."

It usually gets me laughing every time.

The Layers of Lourdes

Sometimes I wonder what it will take to get someone who doesn't believe in God to believe. I think of places like Lourdes, France and St. Bernadette and the many layers of the miraculous that has happened and continues to happen over there. At some point, you just have to throw up your hands and admit there just isn't any natural explanation and hopefully the hardened shell of disbelief get softened.
